Free things to do in Madrid
These are some of our free things to do in Madrid.
1. Visit to the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum: The museum is open free of charge every Monday from 12 noon to 4 pm.
2. Reina Sofía Museum: The museum is open free of charge during the week at various times: Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 19:00 to 21:00 and Sundays from 13:30 to 19:00.
3. Cycle along the Paseo del Prado: Every Sunday from 9:00 to 14:00 the Paseo del Prado is closed to traffic. A perfect time for strolling and cycling.
4. Prado MuseumYou can visit the Prado Museum from Monday to Saturday from 18:00 to 20:00 and on Sundays from 17:00 to 19:00.

The Madrid metro was born in Chamberí station in 1919. This station closed its doors and became an underground museum. Admission is free.

It is one of the largest palaces in Western Europe. It is one of the official residences of heads of state open to the public. Monday to Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00.
