Here are 10 new facts about Generation Z that you don't know yet.Ā Generation Z (Gen Z for short) or Zoomers are people born between 1997 and 2012. They are the successors of Generation Y, are digital natives and have grown up with technologies such as the Internet, smartphones and all kinds of computers. Digital applications are a natural part of their daily lives.

1. The smartphone as a daily companion
Since 2002, the mobile phone has combined phone, text messaging, camera, Internet access, applications and games in a single device. However, it was not until the introduction of the iPhone in 2007 and the subsequent launch of Google's Android operating system that the smartphone era truly began. This makes members of Generation Z the first digital natives to grow up with a smartphone in their hands.
